'Done and sealed' - Transfer market guru says Super Eagles star has joined Nottingham Forest
Published: June 24, 2022The transfer of Super Eagles star Taiwo Awoniyi to Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest is done and dusted, according to Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano has tweeted that all the necessary paperworks have been signed, paving the way for the 2013 U17 World Cup winner to be unveiled as a new Nottingham Forest player in the coming days.
Liverpool, Awoniyi's former club, inserted a ten percent sell-on clause into the deal taking the striker to Union Berlin last summer.

Thus, the Anfield side will receive ten percent of the transfer fee (equivalent of two million euros).
Nottingham Forest forced his exit from Union Berlin after activating a 20 million euros release clause in his contract.
Awoniyi switched to Union Berlin in 2020, first on loan, before the transfer was made permanent the following season and he departs the German Bundesliga club after making 65 appearances in all competitions in which he scored 25 goals, including 20 in the 2021-2022 campaign.
Nottingham Forest are one of three English clubs linked with a move for Awoniyi's international teammate, Joe Aribo, and face competition from Fulham and Crystal Palace for the midfielder's signature.
