Report confirms Aston Villa are not one of the PL clubs interested in Super Eagles midfielder
Published: June 28, 2022Five days ago, allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported that Aston Villa were not really interested in signing Joe Aribo in the ongoing transfer window amid speculation linking him with a reunion with ex-Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.
West Midlands newspaper The Express & Star has now confirmed that Aribo, who was mooted as a possible target in recent days, is not a player of interest to Aston Vila.
Aribo has entered the last twelve months of his contract with 2022 Scottish Cup winners Rangers.
The former Charlton Athletic man is unwilling to extend his contract, putting Premier League clubs on alert.
It is confirmed that Premier League newcomers Fulham and Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace are the three English top-flight teams exploring ways to sign the Nigeria international this summer.

Rangers valued Aribo in the region of ten million pounds last summer but his asking price is expected to drop considering that they stand to lose him for nothing at the end of the forthcoming season.
The 25-year-old has notched 26 goals and provided 25 assists in 148 appearances across all competitions since joining Rangers in 2019.
