'Nottingham Forest are a massive draw' - Arsenal legend on possible transfer of Super Eagle to Reds
Published: June 28, 2022Arsenal legend Kevin Campbell has spoken about Joe Aribo's potential move to Nottingham Forest this summer.
The Reds are one of three Premier League clubs genuinely interested in signing the versatile Rangers midfielder, the others being newly-promoted Fulham, and Crystal Palace.
Aribo's future at the Ibrox Stadium has been the subject of speculation in recent months with his contract set to expire at the end of the forthcoming season.
Campbell is of the opinion that finances could play a major part in the future of the Nigeria international.
Asked if Aribo would be a welcome addition to Nottingham Forest, Campbell told Football Insider : "Joe Aribo has done really well at Rangers. He is one of the main men there.
"We are talking Premier League football here though. Financially, Rangers cannot compete. That is unfortunately the case. That is the way life is.
"Aribo has gone up there and won his trophies. He’s had that success.
"Nottingham Forest are a massive draw. It is a beautiful city."
The Super Eagles number 10 is set to depart Rangers after winning the Scottish Premiership in 2021 and the Scottish Cup the following season.
