Released Tottenham Hotspur Nigerian defender joins Red Devils in Football League

Nigerian central defender Tobi Omole has reportedly agreed a deal with EFL League Two club Crawley Town.

Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that Omole has left Tottenham Hotspur for the Red Devils, adding that he turned down several offers as he believes in the project presented by the new owners and management.

Omole was offered a new contract to extend his stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but turned down the offer.

The 22-year-old was registered as a senior player in Tottenham's Premier League and Europa Conference League squads last season.

Omole was a non-playing substitute against Rennes and NS Mura in the Europa Conference League and was on the bench for the Premier League match versus Crystal Palace.

Prior to his move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2020, he was on the books of Arsenal for six years after joining them from Thamesmead.

Omole's contract with Crawley Town will keep him at Broadfield Stadium until June 30, 2024.
