Aribo has departed Rangers after making 149 appearances in which he scored 26 goals after joining them from Charlton Athletic in 2019.
During his time at the Ibrox Stadium, he played a key role as Rangers won the Scottish Premiership for the first time in ten years in 2021, before starring as they won the Scottish Cup and qualified for the final of the Europa League in 2022.
Southampton have pulled off a major transfer coup by luring Aribo to St Mary's Stadium as several Premier League clubs were interested in his services.
In his first words as a Southampton player, the Super Eagles number 10 said : "It’s an amazing club with a lot of history here, and it’s a good plan with what’s to come next. I’m really excited for the journey.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world. I’ve been watching it since I was a young boy, it’s always been a goal for me to play here and show what I can do on this stage.
"It’s an amazing feeling, a dream come true. This is where I’ve wanted to be since I was a child growing up playing, so to say that I’m here now is really exciting."
Aribo is in line to be included in Southampton's pre-season squad for their training camp in Austria ahead of the new season.
