Newcastle United striker search : Nigeria international with seven caps offered to Magpies
Published: July 10, 2022Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Watford star Emmanuel Dennis.
Chronicle Live reported on Saturday that Magpies manager Eddie Howe is keen to bolster his squad with a centre-forward signing before the close of the summer transfer window.
With the future of Dwight Gayle up in the air having been sent to train with the reserves, Newcastle United are left with only two recognized strikers in Chris Wood and Callum Wilson.
Per the report, Chelsea striker Armando Broja is a player of interest to Howe but a decision on his future at Stamford Bridge is expected to be made after pre-season preparations.
Dennis and Burnley's Maxwel Cornet have been offered to Newcastle United and it remains to be seen if a deal will happen.
The seven-cap Nigeria international has no intention of playing for Watford next season following their demotion from the Premier League and is available for a fee of around £20m.
Dennis was left out of Watford's pre-season training camp in Austria, an indication that he isn't in the plans of Rob Edwards for the new season.
The 24-year-old registered sixteen goal involvements in thirty-three Premier League appearance last term.
