Obi is set to be among the new intake of Arsenal academy scholars for next year as he claims to have already signed a scholarship agreement with the north London club.
According to information from Tipsbladet , Obi was born in Glostrup, grew up in Denmark and played youth football in KB before he was offered a place in the Arsenal Academy by Per Mertesacker.
Arsenal saw off competition from London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to sign him, according to the attacker's dad.
"Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham saw him once and they all wanted him. The next morning, a representative from Arsenal stood in front of our door, " Prince Obi told Ekstra Bladet.
The Danish-Nigerian, who lives with his family in London, has been invited to Denmark U15s training camps in the past.
Obi could be handed his U18s competitive debut in the forthcoming season if he continues to impress for the lower age groups.
