Confirmed : Nigerian striker joins Japanese club Kashima Antlers
Published: August 05, 2022
Kashima Antlers and K Beerschot VA have reached a club-to-club agreement for the transfer of Nigerian striker Blessing Eleke, the Japanese topflight club have informed through a press release published on their official website.
The length and financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the Belgian second-tier side and Kashima Antlers.
Eleke may have fallen off the radar after his switch to K Beerschot VA in September 2020 as he found game time hard to come by, making seven starts in his two seasons with the club.

Last season, the Flying Sports Academy product was loaned out to Turkish First League club Gençlerbirligi SK, where he notched seven goals in twenty-four appearances.
Eleke was placed on standby for a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles four years ago.
The 26-year-old has been allocated the number 19 jersey at Kashima Antlers.
He has also represented Gorica, Olimpija Ljubljana, Ashdod and Luzern in the past.
