Reading beat Bournemouth to sign ex-Chelsea schoolboy of Nigerian descent

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that 2019 Nigeria U17 invitee Adrian Akande has ended his search for a new club after joining Championship outfit Reading.
The former Chelsea schoolboy has already put pen to paper on a contract with The Royals and only an official confirmation of the deal is pending.
Akande has joined Reading as a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Swansea City in January 2022.
The 18-year-old was courted by Bournemouth and trained with the Cherries' youth teams before agreeing terms with Reading.
He departed Swansea City eighteen months before the expiry of his first professional contract because he wanted a change of scene.
The promising winger made his competitive debut for Reading's development squad on Tuesday as they were defeated 2-0 by Sheffield United in their opening match of the Professional Development League.
Akande was a member of the Golden Eaglets squad to the 2019 U17 Africa Cup of Nations but was not utilized by coach Manu Garba during the tournament in Tanzania.
