Chelsea complete signing of talented African striker for youth team
Published: August 10, 2022Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly completed the signing of English-born Zimbabwe wonderkid Shumaira Mheuka from Brighton & Hove.
Blues insider Chelsea Youth has confirmed that Mheuka's move to Stamford Bridge is done and dusted.
A centre-forward by trade, Shumaira comes from a footballing family as his father Malcom Mheuka represented Zimbabwe Saints before hanging up his boots.
The 2007-born player has signed scholarship forms with the Blues and is eligible to represent his new employer in the U18 Premier League but is not qualified to play in this season's FA Youth Cup due to his age.

Mheuka has played non-binding games for England at U15 level and recently earned his maiden call-up to the U16s ahead of upcoming matches against Italy.
He links up with Nigerian youngsters Richard Olise, Chinonso Chibueze, Derrick Abu, Somto Boniface, Louis Flower and Tudor Mendel-Idowu at the Chelsea academy.
