Published: August 11, 2022
Manager Vincent Kompany has strengthened his squad with the signing of Nigerian winger Nathan Tella, informs the official website of Burnley.
Tella has arrived at Burnley on a season-long loan from Premier League club Southampton.
The deal was completed in time for Tella to be selected for the Championship clash between Watford and Burnley at Vicarage Road on Friday evening.
The 23-year-old has been allocated the number 23 jersey at Burnley, the same shirt number he has been using at parent club Southampton since the 2020-2021 season.

Burnley's number 23 was previously worn by Erik Pieters, Stephen Ward, Charlie Austin, Stephen Jordan, Mike Pollitt, Lee Grant, Alan Mahon, Paul Scott and Mark McGregor.
Tella has slipped down the pecking order of attack-minded players at Southampton following the summer arrivals of Joe Aribo and Sékou Mara from Rangers and Bordeaux respectively.
The Hale End Academy product has departed the St Mary's Stadium in search of regular game time.
