Brentford's Super Eagles midfielder reacts to historic win against Manchester United
Published: August 14, 2022
Frank Onyeka has taken to social media to react to Brentford's historic 4-0 victory of Manchester United in a Premier League game at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday evening.
It was Brentford's first victory over Manchester United since February 1938 and they became the third club to score four goals against the Red Devils in the first half of a Premier League game after Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Erik ten Hag's reign as Manchester United coach has started in the worst possible way with the Old Trafford outfit losing their first two games of the season and scoring just once.
Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo found the net for the Bees in the opening forty five minutes.
Onyeka made his first Premier League appearance since the middle of March, coming off the bench to replace Norgaard with ten minutes left on the clock.
The Nigerian could have scored a fifth goal for Thomas Franks's side in the closing minutes but his shot was parried by De Gea after United failed to clear their lines.
Writing on Instagran, Onyeka said : "Wonderful evening at home".
Brentford are back in action on Saturday, August 20 when they face Fulham in a London derby at Craven Cottage.
