2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner with the Super Eagles, Victor Moses has successfully undergone surgery in Germany, according to the official website of Spartak Moscow.

The former Chelsea wing-back and 2017 Premier League winner was accompanied to Germany by the head of the medical department of the red and white Kirill Kozlov.

Moses suffered a serious injury during the first half of Spartak Moscow's 2-0 win against Ural on matchday four in the Russian Premier League on Saturday, August 6, and was later diagnosed with an Achilles tendon injury

Spartak Moscow have stated again that the Nigerian will, in principle, be out of action for six months.

Moses has been playing for Spartak Moscow since October 2020, first on loan before ending his nine-year association with Chelsea last summer.

The Crystal Palace academy product has a contract with Spartak until June 2024.
