Racing Genk boss not ruling out departure of Super Eagles striker this summer

Wouter Vrancken, coach of Belgian Pro League side Racing Genk, has left the door open for Paul Onuachu to switch clubs before the close of the summer transfer window.
Racing Genk parted company with another Super Eagles striker in Cyriel Dessers this month and his international teammate may be following him out of the exit door.
Onuachu missed the first three matches of the season as a result of an adductor injury he suffered during pre-season preparations but made his comeback against Zulte Waregem, playing the last fourteen minutes of a 4-1 road win.
With 58 goals combined in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons, the FC Ebedei product has not managed to seal a transfer despite his impressive goalscoring statistics.
Last fall, he hired a new agent to help him find a new club but nothing has materialized at the moment amid rumors linking him with clubs in Italy, Spain and Turkey.
Questioned about the future of Onuachu, Vrancken said to Het Laatste Nieuws, via Voetbal Nieuws : "Paul is taking steps and continues to push. I hope he will be back soon. You cannot rule out the possibility that he will leave this summer."
Onuachu has approximately two years left on his contract with Racing Genk.
