Announcement imminent : Super Eagles captain joins Sivasspor on two-year deal
Published: September 02, 2022Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Turkish Super Lig club Sivasspor are on the verge of announcing the signing of Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa.
The former CSKA Moscow star terminated his contract with Fatih Karagümrük this morning, paving the way for him to join Sivasspor as a free agent.
Musa is in Sivas now with his agent Tony Harris and will put pen to paper on a two-year contract that will keep him at The Braves until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
Sivasspor have been chasing a winger all summer and attempted to sign Tosin Kehinde but a deal has yet to materialize, with the Manchester United Academy product yet to agree terms on a new contract with Randers.
Musa, who has played in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League group stage in the past, is in contention to make his debut in a third European competition - the Europa Conference League.
Sivasspor have been drawn with Slavia Prague, CFR Cluj and Ballkani in Group G of the 2022-2023 Europa Conference League.
In 37 outings for Fatih Karagümruk, Musa scored four goals and registered two assists.
