Official : CF Montreal loan out Nigerian striker to Belgian Pro League club
Published: September 07, 2022With a statement on their official website, Belgian Pro League club S.V. Zulte Waregem have announced the deadline day signing of CF Montreal's Nigerian striker Chinonso Offor.
The deal was completed before the close of the summer transfer for Belgian clubs on Tuesday, September 6.
Offor has joined S.V. Zulte Waregem on loan for the remainder of the Belgian season, meaning he is expected to return to his parent club CF Montreal next summer.
The 22-year-old is on the move again approximately one month after he was acquired by CF Montreal from fellow Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire.
He is credited with 41 appearances in the MLS for Chicago Fire, registering two goals and two assists.
Offor started his professional career at BFC Daugavpils and played for Real Sapphire in his homeland before moving abroad.
He is expected to start training with his new teammates at S.V. Zulte Waregem upon his arrival in Belgium later this week.
