Tottenham-owned Italian-Nigerian fullback reaches highest market value in his career
Published: September 27, 2022
Tottenham Hotspur-owned defender of Nigerian descent, Destiny Udogie has reached the highest market value in his entire career after the latest update by Transfermarkt on Tuesday, September 27.
The Udinese left-back was rated at 17 million euros on June 7, 2022 but is now valued at 20 million euros, meaning he has gained three million euros in less than four months.
An Italy U21 international, Udogie was the seventh player signed by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, after Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Clement Lenglet.
He was immediately sent back to Udinese, where he will spend the 2022-2023 season, before returning to Tottenham next summer.
The Golden Boy nominee has played an important role in Udinese's fine start to the season with two goals in six appearances in the Serie A.
And his form has been reflected in his market value as he is the most expensive player in the Bianconeri squad.
The 19-year-old is the 57th most valuable player in the Serie A, ranks number 20 among all players playing as left-backs and sixteenth among all Year 2002-born players.
Udogie was on international duty for Italy U21s this international break, featuring against England and Japan.
