Moffi joins Neymar and Mbappe as the hottest strikers in Ligue 1 after brace for Lorient
Published: October 09, 2022Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi bagged a brace in FC Lorient's victory over Stade Brestois 29.
Brest suffered a 2-1 loss to FC Lorient in a Ligue 1 Uber Eats encounter held at Stade Francis-Le Ble on Sunday.
Moffi's brace handed the Brittany based side their eight win in ten league games, taking them to second place on the log.
The hosts got in front in the 17th minute following Romain Del Castillo's well placed shot that went beyond Marco Bizot.
Seven minutes later, Moffi leveled matters for the visitors. He combined well with Laurent Abergel to score his seventh goal of the campaign.
Moffi sealed the win for his employers in the 53rd minute.
With the goals he bagged today, the 23-year-old now has eight league goals in ten outings.
The Nigeria international matched Paris Saint Germain superstars Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe who have also scored eight goals this season.
Moffi has been involved in 37 goals (30 goals and 7 assists) since making his Ligue 1 debut in October 2020.
