Published: October 30, 2022
Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho hailed Manchester United star David de Gea after his brilliant display during the Red Devils hard-fought 1-0 win over West Ham United in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Marcus Rashford became the 22nd Manchester United player to score 100 goals for the club when he netted what proved to be the match-winning goal seven minutes before halftime.
The England international headed home after Christian Eriksen floated a deft ball into the far post.
Though Rashford netted the match-winner and a milestone goal, all the United players came to celebrate with De Gea at the final whistle, with the Spaniard making a couple of world class saves to deny Declan Rice, Kurt Zouma and Jarrod Bowen,.and keep a clean sheet for the home team.
Uzoho, a self-confessed Manchester United fan, took to social media to praise De Gea for his remarkable saves and showed his love for the Spaniard with a heart emoji.
The Nigeria international was talk of the town seventeen days ago after he made series of saves but was eventually beaten in stoppage time as Omonia Nicosia suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester United in the Europa League.
Here's what Uzoho posted on Twitter :
Uzoho has been involved in six matches across all competitions for Omonia Nicosia this season but has yet to post a clean sheet.
