Mourinho's Roma to consider selling Chelsea academy product of Nigerian descent in January
Published: November 15, 2022Italian Serie A club AS Roma are reportedly at the risk of losing star striker Tammy Abraham in January 2023.
Abraham may leave the Stadio Olimpico in January after he was booed off the pitch by AS Roma faithfuls in their 1-1 draw with Torino on Sunday.
According to Calciomercato, the Chelsea academy product will be allowed to leave Roma if a reasonable offer is received.
The Anglo-Nigerian striker joined the José Mourinho led side in August 2021 from Premier League giants Chelsea.
In his first season with the club, he led Roma to the UEFA Europa Conference League crown after scoring nine goals in thirteen appearances.
The scenario has been different this season, as the former Super Eagles target has struggled with his form, scoring four goals and assisting two in twenty appearances across all competitions.
Abraham recently missed out on the World Cup, with Gareth Southgate not considering him good enough to make England's team for the tournament holding in Qatar.
Abraham's existing contract with the Italian giants will expire in the summer of 2026.
