2021 Super Eagles invitee beats another Nigeria target to Crystal Palace POTM
Published: December 02, 2022
2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise has won Crystal Palace's Player of the Month award for November 2022.
Olise topped the official poll with 35 percent of the fans vote, beating another Nigeria Football Federation target Eberechi Eze (19.2 %) and Joachim Andersen (11.7 %) to the monthly accolade.
The France U21 international started all the three matches played by the Eagles in November, logging 258 minutes in total.
He netted the game-winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time as Palace defeated West Ham United 2-1 in their penultimate Premier League game before the World Cup break.
"[Training this week] has been good – it's been intense but good. I'm ready for the second part of the season," Olise said to Palace TV.
"Thank you for voting for me as Player of the Month – it was a good month and I appreciate it. See you on Saturday!"
It is the third Player of the Month for Olise in 2022, having won the award in January and February.
Overall, the 20-year-old has directly participated in 15 goals (5 goals, 10 assists) from 46 all-competition appearances since landing at Selhurst Park from Reading in the summer of 2021.
