9 goals in 9 matches for youth team : Ebite catching the eye at Ajax Amsterdam
Published: December 05, 2022
Golden Eaglets-eligible center forward Shedrach Ebite has been impressive for Ajax Amsterdam U17 team this season.
Uncapped at international level, Ebite has mustered nine goals in nine matches in the U17 Division 1 Fall and the highlight of his performance was netting a hat-trick against PEC Zwolle on November 1.
The 16-year-old started his career with the youth team of vv TGG before transferring to FC Den Bosch, where he stayed for seven years, and was poached by the Dutch champions last summer following a successful trial.
Ebite's parents were born in Nigeria and came to the Netherlands at a young age.
He is also from a footballing family as his father was a footballer in Nigeria, while his mother was a sprinter, according to Ajax Amsterdam's official webpage.
The promising teenager describes himself as a physical and fast striker who knows his way to goal.
Ebite is the fifth highest goalscorer in the U17 league with nine goals, five less than Robin van Persie's son, Feyenoord's Shaqueel van Persie who leads the way.
