Tottenham-owned fullback of Nigerian descent named among best young talents in Serie A
Published: December 14, 2022
Tottenham Hotspur-owned fullback of Nigerian descent Destiny Udogie has been named among the best young talents in the Italian topflight by the official website of the Serie A
Ahead of the restart of the top division of Italian football, the Serie A has profiled the top youngsters who were given minutes before the World Cup break.
Julius Beck (Spezia), Valentin Carboni (Inter Milan), Samuele Vignato (Monza) , Emirhan Ilkhan (Torino), Luca d`Andrea (Sassuolo), Giorgio Scalvini (Atalanta), Samuel Iling-Junior (Juventus), Tommaso Baldanzi (Empoli) and Filippo Terracciano (Hellas Verona) are among the players listed.
The official website of the Serie A noted that Udogie has been one of the key players for Udinese who had a brilliant start to the season.
The Italy U21 international helped Udinese remain unbeaten in their first nine league games of the season, scoring two goals.
The Bianconeri struggled in their last three games prior to the World Cup break, picking up just two points from three matches, without the influential fullback Udogie in the squad due to a muscle-related injury.
Tottenham Hotspur signed the Italian-Nigerian defender in August 2022 but the 20-year-old was immediately loaned back to Udinese to complete the season.
