Snapped : Super Eagles coach Peseiro watches Messi's Argentina beat Croatia
Published: December 14, 2022
Nigeria's Portuguese manager Jose Peseiro was in attendance at the Lusail Iconic Stadium as Argentina thrashed Croatia 3-0 to qualify for the final of the 2022 World Cup.
Peserio claims he is at work in Qatar but has not disclosed the identity of the individual or country he is representing.
The 62-year-old has also watched games involving the national teams of Portugal, France, England, Morocco, Netherlands, Brazil, Spain and Switzerland.
He was recently on media duties for Portuguese sports daily A Bola analyzing the Portuguese squad.
Against Croatia, Argentina drew first blood in the 34th minute as Lionel Messi converted a spot kick in his 25th career appearance at the World Cup and Julián Alvarez doubled the advantage five minutes later when he slotted past goalkeeper Livakovic after making a run from inside his own half.
The Manchester City striker grabbed his second of the night after he was teed up by Messi in the 69th minute.
In Sunday's showpiece, Argentina will face the winner of the other semifinal between African side Morocco and defending champions France.
