Official : Queens Park Rangers' Kaduna-born striker extends stay at Aldershot
Published: December 17, 2022With a statement on their official website, Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that Nigerian-born forward Ody Alfa has extended his stay at National League club Aldershot.
The 23-year-old joined The Shots on loan in September 2022 and will now remain at the fifth tier club for a further month.
Since his loan move to The Shots, Alfa has gone on to make 11 appearances, scoring once in a 3-3 draw with Scunthorpe.
Alfa has received four call-ups to Queens Park Rangers first team for competitive matches and made his only appearance to date in a League Cup clash with Oxford United in August 2021.
Previously he spent time on loan at Atlético Baleares, Billericay Town, Maidenhead United and Dartford.
Born in Kaduna, the dual-eligible Alfa, whose biggest strength is his dribbling skills, has committed his international future to Nigeria over England.
Alfa was playing Sunday League Football prior to his move to Queens Park Rangers at the age of fourteen.
Meanwhile, Nigeria international Leon Balogun was not listed for Queens Park Rangers' 1-0 win at Preston North End on Saturday - the second consecutive match the central defender has missed since the Championship restart.
