Chukwuemeka could be set for bigger role with Chelsea after impressing Graham Potter
Published: December 24, 2022
Super Eagles-eligible youngster Carney Chukwuemeka could be set for a bigger role with Chelsea's first team in the second half of the 2022-2023 season after impressing manager Graham Potter, Football. London has suggested
The England U20 international may have played just three games under Potter but has the attributes of replicating the performances of some top Premier League stars.
A former Premier League player with same physical and technical attributes such as Chukwuemeka is Paul Pogba.
Pogba was a promising talent for Manchester United but would later sojourn to Italy to sign for Juventus.
The 2018 World Cup winner made a comeback to United before incidentally returning back to Italy to rejoin the 'Old Lady'.
With the January transfer window some days away from opening, the attention of football faithful is on which players that their favorite clubs will (or might) buy.
With available players in the January window not always guaranteed to be of the highest quality, it becomes pertinent that Chelsea as a club look internally for solutions.
In Carney Chukwuemeka, Chelsea have a budding talent that will save them from spending a lot of cash in the transfer window.
Chukwuemeka was able to impress manager Potter in training and the warm weather training camp in Abu Dhabi as the 2022 FIFA World Cup went on.
Potter who previously managed Brighton & Hove could be set to hand him more game time in the remainder of the season as his attitude and desire are said to be very good.
Chelsea's first Premier League game after the World Cup is a clash against Bournemouth on December 27.
