Gunners Invincible Kanu celebrates Arsenal's victory against Manchester United
Published: January 22, 2023
Nwankwo Kanu, on Sunday evening, joined millions of Arsenal supporters in congratulating the team for their hard-fought victory in the 3-2 win at Emirates Stadium.
The wins strengthens Arsenal's Premier League title hopes with 19 matches played so far by Mikel Arteta's team who have surpassed the number of wins by The Invincibles achieved by this time in the 2003/2004 campaign.
Kanu, affectionately called 'Papilo' back home on Nigeria by his fans, was part of The Invincibles that made history by not losing a single game.
The 1996 Olympics gold medalist, who joined the north London giants in 1999 from Inter Milan, posted his favorite in-studio video on Twitter with him pointing to the Arsenal artwork on the wall and saying on ecstasy: "Kan u believe this."
The two-time African Footballer of the Year winner then posted a picture of two-goal hero, Eddie Nketiah who has been firing on all cylinders since the injury to first choice striker, Gabriel Jesus.
Nigerian by blood, England superstar, Bukayo Saka scored one of Arsenal's goals, the second by the team which made the score 2-1 in the 53rd minute of the game.
The Gunners will play against Manchester City in the FA Cup before returning to the Premier League on February 4 for the game against Everton.
