Nottingham Forest loan out promising Nigerian player
Published: January 27, 2023
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that English Premier League club Nottingham Forest have loaned out promising Nigerian fullback Osa Solomon to non-leaguers Redditch United.
The 19-year-old has joined the Southern League Premier Division Central club for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season on work experience.
Solomon has returned to full fitness after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury which kept him out of action for several months.
And ahead of his loan move to the Worcestershire outfit, he was training with Nottingham Forest's development squad.
By the terms of the loan agreement between the two clubs, Solomon will be allowed to train with Nottingham Forest U21s on the days he is not with Redditch United.
Solomon, who has started training with his new teammates at Redditch United, is predominantly a right fullback but can also be used in central defence.
He has been described as a defender who is good in one-v-one situations, heading and tackling.
Redditch United face Bromsgrove Sporting in their next competitive game on Saturday, January 28 at the Trico Stadium.
