Official : Motherwell loan in Tottenham Hotspur-reared striker Obika

Through a statement on their official website, Scottish Premiership club Motherwell have announced the signing of Tottenham Hotspur-reared striker of Nigerian descent Jonathan Obika.
The Tottenham Hotspur academy product has joined Motherwell on loan from League One club Morecambe, subject to international clearance.
Obika has played in the Scottish Premiership before, making 64 appearances across two seasons during his time at St. Mirren.
He scored 20 goals in 77 all-competition appearances for St. Mirren, before sealing a move to Morecambe in the summer of 2021.
On his curriculum vitae, he lists Charlton Athletic, Swindon Town, Brighton & Hove, Oxford United, Crystal Palace, Yeovil Town, Peterborough United and Millwall among his previous clubs.
The 32-year-old has recorded eight appearances in all competitions this campaign for Morecambe.
London-born Obika was a member of England's squad to the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt.
