John van den Brom has warned Anderlecht that they must be careful not to be caught out by Villarreal's counter-attacks in Thursday evening's Europa Conference League clash at Anderlecht Stadium-Brussels.
Of the eight matches contested by the Yellow Submarine in Europe this season, they have lost just once and that was to a Lech Poznan team coached by John van den Brom.
The Dutch football tactician namechecked Samuel Chukwueze as he warned Anderlecht to brace up for the pace of the Villarreal players.
The Nigeria international is having a breakout season with a career-best goal involvement of 20 (10 goals, 10 assists) with six coming in the Europa Conference League qualifiers and group stage.
In quotes relayed by Voetbalnieuws, John van den Brom said to La Dernière Heure : "It is also important to pay attention to the counter, because Chukwueze is fast on the right.
"Villarreal has many offensive assets, but it is not impossible to paralyze them. If Anderlecht succeeds, they have a chance to qualify."
Chukwueze will be involved in some capacity against the Belgium powerhouse as he was spotted training with the Villarreal squad in their final workout at Lotto Park on Wednesday.
