Orban makes decision on Gent future amid dreams of playing in the Premier League
Published: March 14, 2023
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Nigerian center forward Gift Orban has made a decision on his future with KAA Gent amid his dreams of playing in the English Premier League.
The 20-year-old has made the back pages in Nigeria and the Dutch-speaking part of Europe after becoming the first Gent player to score four goals in a single game this century.
Orban's four-goal haul against SV Zulte Waregem on Sunday came in a 30-minute spell in the second half, helping the Buffalos thrash the home team 6-2.
It is understood that Orban has no immediate plans to leave Gent amid rumors suggesting that he could be jumping ship in the summer.
The former Stabæk Fotball man,who just joined Gent in January, is focused on his career with the 2015 Belgian Pro League champions, and has made it clear that his intention is to develop at the club rather then embarking on a new adventure while still learning the trade.
European scouts usually attend matches in the Pro League to run the rule over top talents, and Orban could further put himself in the shop window if he continues firing on all cylinders.
Orban has played 32 career games in all competitions between May 2022 and this season, and was on target on 28 occasions while providing seven assists.
