Published: March 24, 2023
Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has predicted that Victor Boniface will depart Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer.
Romano revealed that Boniface's price tag is at least ten million euros, and if the deal were to go through, the Nigerian attacker would become the most expensive outbound transfer in the history of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
Deniz Undav is the most expensive player sold by RUSG, with the center forward joining Premier League side Brighton & Hove in exchange for seven million euros.
Signed from Norwegian outfit Bödo / Glimt in August 2022, Boniface has seen his stock rise on the back of an excellent season.
He has scored five goals in this season's Europa League, bettered only by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
Overall, Boniface has directly participated in 27 goals (19 goals, 8 goals) so far this season comprising 12 in the Jupiler Pro League, 7 in the Europa League, 5 in the Champions League qualifiers and 3 in the Belgian Cup.
Boniface and his Royale Union Saint-Gilloise teammates will face German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the quarterfinals of he Europa League next month.
