Super Eagles invitee Aniagboso reveals Chelsea are one of his dream clubs; hails Omeruo, Uzoho

Super Eagles invitee Chijioke Aniagboso has revealed that Chelsea are his favorite club in the Premier League and has praised Kenneth Omeruo and Francis Uzoho for taking him under their wings during his time with the senior national team.
The Giant Brillars glovesman was a shock inclusion in the Super Eagles 23-man squad list for their March internationals against Guinea-Bissau, benefiting from a directive issued to manager Jose Peseiro by the Nigeria Football Federation that a minimum of three home-based players should be included on the roster for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Aniagboso has seen his stock rise after starring for the Flying Eagles at the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, where he kept four clean sheets in his five appearances during the tournament in Egypt.
Reflecting on his time with the Super Eagles, Aniagboso told allnigeriasoccer.com on Wednesday : "It was a nice experience to be with the Super Eagles which is different from the Flying Eagles.
"The senior players that encouraged the most were Francis Uzoho and Kenneth Omeruo.
"Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo and some other players made me feel at home, but Uzoho and Omeruo took me under their wings as they kept motivating me and offering me words of encouragement."
Aniagboso feels he can become Nigeria's number one goalkeeper in future and another target he wants to achieve within the next five years is to play for a top European club.
"In the next five years, I see myself playing in a top European League and as the Super Eagles number one goalkeeper.
"My qualities as a goalkeeper are my aerial ability and I am comfortable playing with the ball at my feet."
On the dream club he would like to join, Aniagboso answered : "I have three favorite clubs. I wish I could play for Chelsea. That's my favorite club in the Premier League because I look up to Édouard Mendy.
"AC Milan and Barcelona are also clubs I would love to play for".
Aniagboso has done enough to earn himself a transfer to a European club and could further put himself in the shop window with an impressive performance in this summer's FIFA U20 World Cup.
