Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi is the third highest earner at French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice, where he is on loan until June 30, 2023 with an obligation to buy him from Lorient.
Celebrated French sports daily L'Equipe in conjunction with France Bleu have published the salaries of players in the French Ligue 1, with Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe the best paid with a gross monthly salary of more than six million euros followed by his teammate Neymar, who takes home 3.675 million euros every month and Lionel Messi is third at 3.375 million euros.
Moffi is the third best player at OGC Nice with a monthly salary of 275, 000 euros, which is approximately N138 million in Nigerian currency.
The Nigerian earns €25,000 euros (N12 million) less than Arsenal loanee Nicolas Pépé and former France youth teamer Gaëtan Laborde who receive 300,000 euros each (approximately N150 million).
Completing the top five earners at OGC Nice are former Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel (270,000 euros) and Sofiane Diop (250,000 euros).
OGC Nice manager Didier Digard is 12th when it comes to the salaries received by Ligue 1 bosses, taking home 50,000 euros per month.
Moffi is now earning more than three times the amount he pocketed at Lorient in the 2021-2022 season. He received 75,000 euros gross monthly last term.
