Revealed : Why 2023 Flying Eagles invitee has not featured for Arsenal U21s since March 17
Published: April 08, 20232023 Flying Eagles invitee Joel Ideho has been missing from Arsenal's development squad matchday squad in their last three Premier League 2 games.
The exciting winger has been inactive for 22 days with his last appearance coming in the London derby versus Crystal Palace on March 17, 2023.
Ideho wasn't called up for back-to-back games with Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United and Fulham in the Premier League 2.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Ideho was not available for selection due to an ankle injury he sustained in training few days after the clash against Crystal Palace.
The former Ajax Amsterdam wonderkid is nearing a return to action and is expected to resume training with the rest of his teammates at Arsenal U21s on Tuesday, April 11.
Prior to his spell on the sidelines, Ideho made four consecutive starts in the Premier League 2 and was asked to play as a center forward in a couple of games, against Liverpool and Brentford.
This season, he has scored six goals in all competitions comprising two in the Premier League 2, three in the Premier League Cup and one in the Premier League International Cup.
Arsenal have four games left before the end of the season, starting with a home match with Brighton & Hove on Friday, April 14.
