Flying Eagles coach handed boost as Arsenal dazzler issued Nigerian passport before Abuja trip
Published: April 26, 2023Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso has been handed a major boost with only a few weeks left before naming his final squad for the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup.
There is no more stumbling block to Arsenal youth team dazzler Joel Ideho making his debut for the Flying Eagles after he was omitted from the U20 AFCON squad due to having an expired passport.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that the former Ajax Amsterdam wonderkid has obtained a valid Nigerian passport - a prerequisite for his inclusion in the provisional squad list for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup.
A quick, physical and tricky winger, Ideho impressed the watching crowd while training with the Flying Eagles in January but he is not yet a finished product as he needs to add goals to his game.
The Tilburg-born winger was recently in touch with the Nigeria Football Federation and informed them that he has sorted out his passport problems, and to prove it he sent the data page of his newly acquired passport.
Shortly after signing for Arsenal in 2020, Ideho told allnigeriasoccer.com : "I would say that my game is inspired by Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace because he's a creative player with fast pace.
"My strengths would be my pace and my actions one-v-one".
Ideho is a modern day offensive player who is comfortable playing as a winger, striker and center forward.
The 19-year-old has been instructed to report for international duty in Abuja latest on Monday, May 1.
