Chelsea and Man Utd target Osimhen quizzed on his future after Napoli's title win
Published: May 04, 2023
Shortly after Napoli won their first Serie A title in thirty three years, Victor Osimhen was quizzed on his future with the newly crowned Italian champions.
Osimhen, who led the line all season for Napoli, was the player that would get the goal that would win them the Scudetto as he slotted home from close range after the Udinese goalkeeper parried the ball into his path in the 52nd minute.
The 24-year-old's goal canceled out Sandi Lovric's early opener and ensured that Napoli with 80 points accumulated are uncatchable with five games remaining in the division.
The Nigeria international has been one of the best center forwards in the world this season and his performances have earned him interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on snapping up Osimhen in the upcoming transfer window in the summer.
Speaking to DAZN, Osimhen stated : "It’s not the right time to discuss my future. I just want to enjoy this incredible title.
“I can’t wait to return to Napoli and hug the fans. I’m so happy for them”.
Osimhen has approximately two years left on his contract with Napoli, whom he joined from Lille for a club record fee of 70 million euros in 2020.
