Super Eagles-eligible player could play key role in Arsenal's proposed move for Declan Rice

West Ham United are interested in signing Super Eagles-eligible player Folarin Balogun in the summer.

According to Fooball Transfers, the Hammers signing the England U21 international could hinge on the future of manager David Moyes.

Arsenal are one of the top Premier League clubs looking to sign influential West Ham midfielder Declan Rice ahead of next season.

Rice is under contract at West Ham until June 2024 and he is unwilling to extend his stay at the Londoners.

The Hammers are resigned to losing the former Chelsea starlet and have slapped a massive price tag of 120 million pounds on the 24-year-old.

Per the report, the opportunity to drive Rice’s price down to a more palatable figure could see Arsenal use Balogun as a makeweight in the proposed deal to sign the England star, although it is not a certainty that the Anglo-Nigerian striker would be used in the transaction.

The Hale End Academy graduate recently matched Frederick Kennedy's record of being the top scoring Englishman in a single season in the Ligue 1 after netting his nineteenth of the season in Stade de Reims' 2-1 loss to Lens.

RB Leipzig, Marseille and AC Milan have also been credited with an interest in Balogun who has two years left on his Arsenal contract.
