Talented Danish-Nigerian midfielder on the radar of German, Belgian and MLS clubs
Published: May 17, 2023
Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent Tochi Chukwuani is drawing interest from foreign clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
Bold.dk says the interest comes internally from clubs in the Danish Superliga, while there are also teams in Germany, Belgium and Major League Soccer who have the versatile midfielder on the radar.
Chuwkuani has caught the eye for Lyngby Boldklub in the second half of the season and also performed well for the Danish national team in friendly matches against Ukraine and Switzerland.
His performances have not gone unnoticed by foreign teams and his future is up in the air with one year left on his contract with Lyngby.
According to football manager, Nicas Kjeldsen, Lyngby are very satisfied with Chukwuani's development throughout the season, and talks on his future will be after the season.
Lyngby know they will find it difficult to keep hold of the 20-year-old if they get relegated at the end of this campaign.
Chukwuani joined Lyngby in August 2022 after his contract with FC Nordsjælland expired.
The Danish-Nigerian starlet has appeared in 20 Superliga matches this term, logging 1,222 minutes.
