2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ejeheri racks up fifth clean sheet in seven league games
Published: May 22, 2023
Arsenal-owned goalkeeper of Nigerian descent, Ovie Ejeheri kept a clean sheet for SJK in their 2-0 win over Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat in the Veikkausliiga, Finland's top-tier league, on Monday, May 22.
Jaime Moreno gave SJK the lead in the 44th minute before Jeremiah Streng doubled the away side's lead at minute 62.
It is the fifth time the 2023 Flying Eagles invitee will be keeping a clean sheet this season, having previously done the same against FC Honka, FC Lahti, AC Oulu and Ilves Tampere.
The Arsenal loanee has conceded just two goals in his first seven appearances in the Finnish top-flight this season.
While he has been able to deny opponents from breaching his goal in the league, the reverse was the case in the Liiga Cup where he conceded seven goals in four games.
Overall, he has been decent in goal for the Finnish side since joining them on loan in the January transfer window.
Ejeheri spent the first half of the 2022-2023 campaign on loan at National League South club Chelmsford City
