AC Milan keeping tabs on former Flying Eagles centre-forward
Published: June 16, 2023Italian giants AC Milan are reportedly keeping tabs on former Flying Eagles centre-forward Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi.
This is according to transfer market reporter Sacha Tavolieri who wrote on his Twitter handle on Friday morning that the performances of Ikwuemesi have caught the attention of the Rossoneri recruitment team.
The 21-year-old was in good form for NK Celje in the Prva Liga, the Slovenian top-flight, last season notching nine goals and five assists in 32 appearances which was his highest goal contribution since moving to Europe.
He began his career with Giant Brillars in his homeland before moving to SK Vorwärts Steyr in the Austrian second division but failed to make his mark, scoring just two goals in nine games.
He then joined Slovenian outfit NK Krško, where he made eleven appearances and scored four goals.
Ikwuemesi. transferred to his current club last summer and has been one of the first names on the team sheet, playing 32 games in all competitions, 26 of which he started.
He was part of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria team coached by Ladan Bosso at the 2020 WAFU B U-20 Championship.
