Romano reveals Osimhen appreciated by Ten Hag, PSG prefer Super Eagles star to Kane
Published: June 19, 2023
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has disclosed the latest update regarding Manchester United and PSG's pursuit of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
Romano on Monday revealed that Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is an admirer of Osimhen and will like to bring him to Old Trafford but his transfer fee could prove to be the stumbling block.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped a heavy price tag on the star striker which the Red Devils deem excessive and unattainable
"Also important to say one thing and it's about Victor Osimhen. Victor Osimhen remains a player appreciated by Manchester United, especially by Erik ten Hag, but Manchester United will not spend 150 million euros - this is the value of the player according to Napoli.
"This is the beginning of the market, this could change later in the window," Romano said on his YouTube channel.
The Red Devils are keen to add a striker to their ranks and have been linked with not only Osimhen but also Harry Kane, Randal Kolo Muani, Rasmus Højlund and a host of other strikers.
Romano also went on to disclose that French Ligue 1 champions PSG prefer a move for the Nigerian striker over Tottenham Hotspur star Kane who they are also keeping tabs on.
"On Osimhen, keep an eye on Paris Saint-Germain because it's true that they like Harry Kane but the reality is that the top target is Victor Osimhen for Paris Saint-Germain depending on how much Napoli will ask for the Nigerian striker at the end, but as of today the value is 150m euros, too much for Manchester United".
The Parisians want to add more firepower to their attack and have identified the 24-year-old as a perfect fit.
