Two attack-minded players of Nigerian descent, Monday Etim and Jonathan Amon, have joined new clubs in Denmark.
Super Eagles-eligible player Amon, who has represented his country of birth United States twice in friendly matches, has signed a one-year agreement with Lyngby Boldklub, the Superliga outfit announced on Friday morning.
A winger by trade, Amon has been unemployed following his departure from FC Nordsjælland in January 2023.
The 24-year-old, who has been offered a contract after training with Lyngby on Monday, played in 41 games during his time at FC Nordsjælland, registering nine goals and six assists.
Monday Etim has ended his four-year association with FC Roskilde by signing a two-year contract with FC Helsingør, the club informed last week.
Calabar-born Etim will complete his move to FC Helsingør upon the expiry of his contract with FC Roskilde on June 30, 2023.
He lists Kadji Sports Academy, Orange County SC, Rio Grande Valley, LAFC as his previous clubs.
The two Nigerian players could be facing each other on Friday morning when Lyngby meet FC Helsingør in a pre-season friendly.
