Published: July 21, 2023
Through their official website, Premier League side Chelsea have confirmed that Omari Hutchinson has completed a season-long loan move to Championship club Ipswich Town.
Hutchinson returned for a second spell at Chelsea in 2022 after ending a seven-year association with Arsenal.
The Blues were promoted to the Championship at the end of last season after finishing second in the League One.
During his time at Arsenal, Hutchinson received ten call-ups for first team games including one each in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup and eight in the Premier League, but was not given minutes off the bench by manager Mikel Arteta.
The 19-year-old winger made two appearances for Chelsea's first team last season and registered an impressive 18 goal involvements in 25 outings for the development squad in the Premier Leage 2 and Papa Johns Trophy.
Hutchinson becomes Ipswich Town's fourth summer signing, after Jack Taylor, Cieran Slicker and George Hirst.
A Jamaica international with two caps, he links up with former Super Eagles star Sone Aluko at Ipswich Town.
