'Don't hesitate to sign with them' - Chukwueze reveals Osimhen advised him to join AC Milan
Published: July 27, 2023Samuel Chukwueze has revealed the role played by his compatriot Victor Osimhen in his decision to join AC Milan.
The Italian outfit announced the signing of the Super Eagles winger today from Villarreal for a deal worth about 20 million euros plus 8 million in add-ons.
The Nigerian winger is set to stay at the San Siro for the next five years and will don the number 21 jersey.
Just like the new Rossoneri forward, Osimhen arrived in Italy in the summer of 2020 and has established himself as the best striker in Serie A.
Osimhen while advising Chukwueze told him why he should join the Italian giants
"The last time we spoke he said to me: "Samuel, Milan is a beautiful club, one of the best clubs, don't hesitate to sign with them. They are fantastic, they have wonderful fans." Chukwueze told Milan TV.
"I asked him to tell me more about it, how it feels to play against them, and he told me that the Rossoneri fans are incredible, they are crazy about football. No problem, I replied: "I hope you know that I will beat you (laughs, ed)". He told me "We'll see."
The new AC Milan right winger also went on to praise the character of the Napoli forward.
Stefano Pioli will be hoping the former Villarreal winger replicates the form that saw him register 24 goal contributions last season for his side in the new campaign.
