Through their official website, West Bromwich Albion has confirmed the permanent signing of Super Eagles forward Josh Maja.
Maja joins the English Championship side on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with Bordeaux.
He has penned a three-year deal with the club and will don the number 9 jersey for the 2023-2024 season.
Maja was in red-hot form last season in the French Ligue 2 where he posted 16 goals and six assists in 38 matches.
He was offered a contract extension by Bordeaux but refused to extend his stay at the French side.
This is not the first time the Englsih-born forward will be plying his trade in England's second tier as he had previously played in the league with Sunderland and Stoke City.
Having impressed in the Ligue 2 last season, Albion had identified him as their ideal striker and are now set to enjoy his services for the next few years.
The 24-year-old is the second Nigeria International at the Hawthorns with the other being Semi Ajayi.
He could make his debut on Saturday when the Baggies kickstart their Championship campaign against Blackburn Rovers.
