Update on Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Nigerian goal machine Gift Orban
Published: August 18, 2023Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur continue to thrash out a deal for Nigerian attacker Gift Orban.
Tottenham Hotspur are seeking a replacement for Harry Kane and Orban has been identified as a player who can step into the shoes of the prolific England striker, having caused all sorts of problems for defenders in the Belgian Pro League.
This website can report with certainty that reports in the local and foreign press that Orban has agreed personal terms with Tottenham are unfounded.
It is confirmed that Gift Orban and his camp have not discussed personal terms at all with the Premier League club as it would be akin to putting the cart before the horse considering the fact that the Lilywhites have not made an official bid to Gent as of tonight.
Gent would be forced to sell the free-scoring striker should they receive a bid in the region of 30 million euros, ten times the fee they agreed with Norwegian outfit Stabæk Fotball less than seven months ago.
Despite his lack of experience, Orban has proved that he can be one of the best centre forwards in European football in the near future, having mustered 44 goals in 51 matches combined for Gent and Stabæk Fotball.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Orban after extensively scouting him since his transfer to Gent.
