Tella remains Bayer Leverkusen's priority target despite links to Barcelona's Morocco star
Published: August 23, 2023Nathan Tella remains the priority target for Bayern Leverkusen despite their links to Barcelona's Morocco international Abde Ezzalzouli.
According to Fussballtransfers, the Super Eagles-eligible forward is higher on Bayern Leverkusen's wishlist than the Barcelona youngster.
The departure of Moussa Diaby who registered fourteen goals and eleven assists across all competitions last season has left a huge vacuum in Xabi Alonso's side which needs replacing before the end of the transfer window.
As earlier reported, the Black and Reds have submitted a 15.4 million pound bid for Tella which has been rejected by Southampton.
The 23-year-old is being valued at 25 million pounds but it has been said that a 20 million pounds bid could be enough to convince Southampton to part away with the Anglo-Nigerian.
While Burnley also have an interest in the versatile forward, it has been said that they have been priced out of a move for him.
Tella seems not to be disturbed by the transfer speculations as he has started the season on a good note.
He has registered 2 goals contributions in 3 games for Southampton in the Championship this season.
