Sporting Lagos sign twin brothers from Warri-based Ichofe Wanderers FC
Published: August 23, 2023The management of Ichofe Wanderers FC, a team based in Warri, Delta State has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the youth team of newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Sporting Lagos for the services of twin brothers, Forukpo Boelayefa Praise and Forukpo Ayekpo Marvelous.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ichofe Wanderers FC, Mr. Onokpite Oghenekaro who confirmed the development said the boys are extremely talented and will become top football Stars in future.
"The Boys have moved on to Sporting Lagos youth team where they will continue their growth and development, we are proud of what we've done and we sincerely wish the twins a good time out in their new environment.
"This is an attestation that we are doing a lot of things correctly for Sporting Lagos to have requested for these boys, they will hit the top soon, they are part of our pool of talented boys and we are quite sure that they will represent us well".
Mr. Onokpite Oghenekaro went further to confirm that Ichofe Wanderers still have other talented and promising players in their fold.
"We have our base in Warri, Delta State, this is where we train them, we have a lot of other boys who are currently with us, it's our belief that every player has his own time to blossom".
FIFA licensed football agent, Mr. Eddie Iseri Ogbemudia who represented the releasing club in the contract negotiations also commended the parties to the contract.
"This is history being made today and I'm glad to be part of it, these boys are future stars of the Nigeria national teams, I have watched them play and just give them few years time and see how they blossom."
"I hope Sporting Lagos will mould these rare gem to the diamond that they are and let's see what comes out of them in the nearest future, " he further added.
