'Negative point is his 2nd goal' - Moffi comes under fire from his own teammate for goal celebration v PSG
Published: September 16, 2023
Brazilian and Nice centre-back Dante has criticized Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi for his celebration after scoring his second goal in Nice's 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain yesterday night at the Parc des Princes.
Moffi was the hero of the night as he contributed two goals and an assist in his side's victory against the French Ligue 1 champions.
The performance of the Nigerian striker was not without controversy which has now grabbed the headlines.
After scoring his second goal, the 24-year-old took off his shirt and incited PSG fans which was met with anger from Kylian Mbappe and his teammates
Dante has expressed his dissatisfaction with the reaction of his teammate.
"Terem has a lot of strength, he knows how to take depth. But the negative point is his 2nd goal and his celebration," Dante told Foot Mercato, via Onze Mondial.
"You have to know how to keep your feet on the ground."
Before his brace against PSG, the talented striker had just scored one goal in 4 games but has now taken his tally to three for the season.
He will be hoping to replicate his form in subsequent matches starting from Nice's game against Monaco on matchday six of the Ligue 1 next week Friday.
